Professional PRCD-S ADVANCED mobile personal protection circuit-breaker for cable mounting (for use on construction sites and permanent outdoor use IP55, all-pole switching, DGUV 203-006 compliant)
Description
For use on construction sites in accordance with DGUV 203-006 (formerly BGI 608) and permanent outdoor use, the Professional PRCD-S ADVANCED mobile personal protection circuit breaker offers a reliable and robust solution to protect the user when using electrical appliances on sockets that are not known to be working properly. Cables with a connection cross-section of 1.5mm² or 2.5mm² and a cable diameter of 8-14mm can be connected. Safety is further increased thanks to improved testing for protective conductor interruption from approx. 1kΩ, glove detection (device cannot be switched on in the event of a fault even with insulating gloves) and the comprehensive function test by checking the entire signal chain from protective conductor monitoring to the RCD switching function. The mobile personal protection system also impresses with the following features:
- Protection class: IP55
- Connection cross-section: 1.5-2.5mm²
- Cable diameter: Ø 8-14mm
- Rated voltage: 230V
- Rated current: 16A
- Rated power: 3680W
- Rated residual current: IΔn = 30mA
- All-pole (L/N/PE) switching residual current circuit breaker type A
- Undervoltage tripping
- No automatic restart after voltage recovery
- No switching on if the protective conductor is interrupted or energised
- As soon as voltage occurs on the protective conductor during operation or the protective conductor is interrupted, the protective device switches off
- If external voltage occurs on the protective conductor, e.g. by drilling into a line of another circuit, the protective device does not disconnect the protective conductor
- PRCD in accordance with VDE 0661
- Category 2 equipment (K2 DGUV 203-005): Used for rough operation with high mechanical, physical and chemical influences
A residual current circuit breaker (RCD) is an electrical protective device used primarily to protect against electric shocks. The RCD detects the difference between the incoming and outgoing current in a circuit. If a fault current occurs, for example due to an insulation fault or a current flow via an unwanted discharge such as a person, the RCD switches off the circuit. This significantly reduces the risk of electric shock or fire caused by a fault current. When used as personal protection, a residual current device must trip and interrupt the circuit at a residual current of 30mA at the latest.
- Low-resistance (approx. 1kO) protective conductor detection
- Glove detection (device cannot be switched on in the event of a fault, even with an insulating glove)
- Extended test coverage (including protective conductor detection and monitoring)
